Succulent was definitely an exercise in shading! No drawn edges here, just shading from light to dark to create the shapes of each 'petal'. Drawn, with permission, from a reference photo by Ana Maria from Photos for Artists. Original drawing was created using graphite pencils on Stonehenge paper.
