This piece is the ORIGINAL Pastel painting of 'Party Shoes'.
I used pastel pencils on PastelMat card. The artwork measures 8"H x 10"W and has a white archival mat. It is framed in a Wood Gallery Frame in a Dark Walnut color that measures 14 3/8"H x 16 3/8"W with UV resistant glass to help prevent fading. It has hardware for hanging on a wall.

These shoes were a completely different subject for me! They were so much fun to paint! The gorgeous fuchsias and purples and pinks...it was a great challenge to try to capture the look of satin. I wore prom shoes similar to these in the 90s and had a lot of fun thinking about dancing the night away in these shoes.
I have purchased a beautiful embroidered wristlet/clutch that I hope to eventually paint as a companion piece to this.
