Ready For Take-Off was drawn, with permission, from a lovely reference photo by Samantha Jo Samarron on Reference Photos For Artists. The Dragonfly symbolizes transformation, change and wisdom. This particular dragonfly is part of the Black Saddlebag variety. They can be found all across the United States as well as Canada and south of Mexico. They are also quite effective at controlling the spread of mosquitoes by eating their larvae.
