The reference photo for this piece was taken when we played 'tourist' and went for a sail on the Schooner Surprise out of Camden, Maine. It was a gorgeous day with gentle waves and I was drawn to the variety of lobster buoys in the bay and the beautiful water ripples. I just had to capture them and started a series of buoy paintings!
