This piece is the ORIGINAL Pastel painting titled 'Curtis Island Lighthouse, Maine'.
I used pastel pencils on PastelMat card. The artwork measures 10" x 10" and has an archival white mat. It has a custom wood frame measuring 16" x 16" from Small Wonder Gallery with Museum Glass to reduce reflective glare and prevent fading. It has a wire for hanging.

Curtis Island Lighthouse marks the approach to the Camden harbor in Maine. It is located on Curtis Island and the present structure was built in 1896. It is now powered by solar panels and is 25 feet in height. My reference picture was taken from aboard the windjammer, Surprise, and provides a different point of view from the traditional pictures taken from the coast on Bayview Street. I used pastel pencils on PastelMat card for the original piece. It was a beautiful day on the water and was so fun to play 'tourist' in our home town!
